Meet the Woof and Wags Group
**To donate to one specific animal, when on the donation page select "Honor" where it asks to honor or remember someone. This is found just above the button to finalize the donation. From there it will ask "to whom you want to recognize?", which is where you will list the name. If left blank, the donation will go to the care of this entire group and you will get updates from every group member.***
Group Members: Tripp, Colt, Tabatha, BB, Gypsy, and Emma!

Our Woof and Wags consists of a fantastic group of dogs with heartbreaking origin stories. Most of these dogs will be the first ones you greet when you drive up to the farm. Whether it is Gypsy and Emma greeting you as you park or Colt the moment you walk through the gates. This crew will bark all the while wagging their tails in excitement for a new visitor.
Each one of the dogs in this group arrived at the farm with no other place to go and no prospects for a life of happiness. We took them on with open arms and hearts and have given them a life that many in their situation are not fortunate enough to get. We rely entirely on donations to care for these wonderful animals and that is why it is so important for us to have Animal Angels to help with their care through monthly sponsorship.
Monthly sponsors will provide a steady stream of funds that ensures this group can live the rest of their days happy and healthy here at the farm. Funds will go directly to their care for food, medical treatments, safe housing, and the love and care of our wonderful staff.
Monthly sponsors will receive regular updates with a picture of how your consistent funds are helping our wonderful group of pups and the other animals here at the Farm.

Tripp:
We received a plea from a local shelter to rescue Tripp before his time ran out. Thankfully, we were able to raise the funds necessary to save this beautiful boy. Believed to be around 2 years old, Tripp wound up in a shelter where his life was in immediate danger. He has a deformity with one of his paws and is incredibly shy, having never known the touch of a human hand…which makes adopting him out or finding rescue for him nearly impossible. He finds comfort in the company of other dogs, as is usually the case for feral dogs….and that is exactly what makes animals like Tripp thrive at Saint Francs Farm. Our staff is well trained and experienced with handling/caring for feral animals while giving them the space they need.
Colt:
Colt suffered a gunshot which left a pellet lodged in his spine... and at just over a year old, he was faced with life long and potentially life threatening challenges. Life as he once knew it, drastically changed. Due to neurological damage, Colt walks with an unsteady sway and cannot control his bladder. After being placed in a kill shelter, his time was running out - and resources for animals with serious medical challenges are extremely limited!
Emma:
This sweet momma, Emma, and her eight newborn puppies were found at a local abandoned house. Our staff crawled through the debris in the house to get all of her babies out of there. It took some time to get Emma, but we got her and were able to bring her and all of her puppies to the farm. Terrified, it took several days for Emma to trust us. She is very shy, but oh so sweet and a great mom!
All of her pups have since found wonderful homes! Emma is still hesitant with people and will go near us but will not let us touch her. She now roams the property with her best friend Gypsy, another very feral momma dog we rescued.
Gypsy:
Gypsy has a wild story.
She was dumped in the small town of Chester, SC over 2 years ago. Gypsy spent two years known as "Bypass Girl" dodging in and out of traffic on a 4-lane highway just trying to survive.
Local residents and animal control made numerous attempts to catch, but she was feral, smart, and a gypsy at heart, so she never stayed in one place for very long. A large network of residents worked together to provide her food, water, and shelter. In the summer of 2018, that network of residents and friends started to get very worried as Gypsy started to show signs of pregnancy.
Late one night our farm manager got a call that Gypsy had decided to hold up in a dog house in a Chester resident's yard to give birth to her ELEVEN puppies! This was our best chance of catching her. We headed out early the next morning and with the help of the home owner and her puppies, we finally caught Gypsy! We brought the family to the farm, gave Gypsy her fitting name and for the next 11 weeks we helped her care for her puppies.
Now, the puppies have gone on to find their forever homes and have wonderful lives. Gypsy will call the farm her forever home as she is feral and would, unfortunately, not be able to find a traditional home. You can help us fund Gypsy's lifetime care by joining our Animal Angels team and becoming a monthly sponsor!
Tabatha:
Tabatha was picked up by Animal Control and was deemed as un adoptable because she is feral and completely terrified. She is believed to be around 2 years old but will not let anyone close enough to receive an exam/thorough screening. We stepped in to save Tabatha, with only the knowledge that there was a feral, heavily pregnant dog at Animal Control, who would most likely be put down after giving birth. Tabatha gave birth to 10 beautiful puppies and is slowly staring to trust the farm staff.
Tabatha will most likely call St Francis Farm her home. The farm was created for dogs just like Tabatha who cannot thrive in traditional homes. Tabatha will be given the space and the care she needs to thrive at the farm. But we need monthly sponsors to help fund her long term care!
BB:
BB came to us with a single puppy from a local shelter. She was extremely scared and shut down and could not raise her baby properly in that environment. Luckily the shelter decided to keep mom and baby together while searching for a rescue to take them in. With BB being very unsocialized most rescues did not want to take her on. We stepped in a brought these two to the farm so that BB could have a place to stay and raise her pup. We did a lot of socializing with the puppy and once she was old enough, she was adopted! BB was a fantastic momma and raised a healthy and adorable puppy. We hope with time that BB will come around and start to enjoy interacting with staff.
