Meet the Come Back Kids!

***To donate to one specific animal, when on the donation page select "Honor" where it asks to honor or remember someone. This is found just above the button to finalize the donation. From there it will ask "to whom you want to recognize?", which is where you will list the name. If left blank, the donation will go to the care of this entire group and you will get updates from every group member.***

Group Members: Scooby, Maybeline, and Coaly!

***Continue Scrolling to see the members and learn their stories***

The Come Back Kids consist of a great group of dogs who due to behavioral or medical reasons, calls the farm their home. Each one has a unique backstory, and all deserve a spot at the sanctuary where they can be themselves and enjoy their days. To continue to provide a stable home for these dogs, your continued support is needed.

Monthly sponsors provide a steady stream of funds that ensure these dogs can live the rest of their days happy and healthy here at the farm. Funds go directly to their care and include food, medical treatments, safe housing, and the love and care of our wonderful staff.

Sponsors receive regular updates on how your consistent funds are helping our fantastic Come Back Kids.

Maybeline:

Maybeline had been in our adoption program since 2020 and just couldn't find the right home. During that time with her foster family, she became extremely attached to them. She became so attached that when a person approached her family, she nipped them. With no luck in finding a home in New York and with a bite incident, Maybeline has moved to the farm. We do believe there is a home out there for her, but until that one is found she will be enjoying her days at the farm.

Scooby:

Scooby is a typical high-energy hound that gets himself into trouble whether he tries to or not. This ball of energy loves toys to the point he chews them to pieces! When left alone, his anxiety and energy get the best of him, and he becomes a bit destructive. On top of that, Scooby has some issues with resource guarding that have become worse with age. Scooby hasn't done well in a home environment but we think moving him to the farm is exactly what he needs. He now has tons of room to run, play, dig, and burn off all that pent-up energy. St. Francis Farm sanctuary is a perfect place for a dog like Scooby.

Coaly:

Coaly was adopted out of our program as a puppy. During his two years in his home, Coaly developed some unpredictable behaviors which resulted in several bite incidents. With children in the home, the family felt it was unsafe for the kids and unfair to Coaly to keep him in that household. We decided the best place for him is at the sanctuary where he can play and run around without any cares in the world.
